Impeach Speaker of the House John Boehner
As of October 3, 2013, enough Members of the U.S. House publicly support passing a "clean" appropriations bill, which would end the government shutdown.
Despite this, John Boehner refuses to call a vote, to the detriment of 800,000 federal employees, millions of women and children supported by WIC, millions of Veterans who rely on their benefits, and the general health of our national and global economies.
He has refused to call a vote out of concern for the self-preservation of his party and his personal career.
Article II, Section IV of the U.S. Constitution states:
"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High crimes and Misdemeanors."
We, the undersigned, consider the conduct of Speaker John Boehner to be treasonous and call for his immediate impeachment by the House of Representatives.
