The United States Government only recognizes one birth defect from children from male veterans pertaining to chemicals being sprayed on them like Agent Orange durin Vietnam. My birth defects are listed under the female veterans list. I have undergone genetic testing and they found several mutated genes that were passed to me from my dad. 2 of which are related to ALS. There are many scientific papers that show Dioxin poisoning causes transgenerational mutations and epimutations in offspring for many generations from males poisoned by Dioxins/Furans. California Rep Barbara Lee has been introducing bills since 2013 that would change the law and remove the word female and  just read Veterans. These bills aren't passing because they are asking for the US to clean up the tainted soil and help with the environmental impact of these chemicals that should have never been used. Especially because of the health problems endured onto our own troops. Papers that the US Government have declassified show that they knew of the health problems that would come from using these chemicals on humans. If the US has the resources to wage a 20 year war and leave billions of dollars in equipment in a foreign country than they damn well can afford to help all of the affected children that were disfigured and are still suffering today. Like President Lincoln so eloquently had stated. America needs to cover it's domestic obligations.
