This petition is designed to check and weigh if Ladysmith really needs the programme that I've designed to help combat GBV. The plan is to run this programme under an NPO, LEO, that aims to find sustainable solutions towards socio-economic issues faced by the youth through education and youth-development initiatives. This programme is not aligned to me as an individual - it will and should run even without my presence.

The programmes designed by Lazy Eye Organisation sets out to provide sustainable solutions towards fighting and combating Gender Based Violence against Women and Children. Recognizing the importance of prevention of GBV, we design initiatives that make it easier for us to achieve our mission along with looking at policies and programmes. Our strategic goals in fighting GBV includes being aligned with all the seven priority areas that South Africa has identified for the next five years in its National Strategic Plan on Gender Based Violence and Femicide which recognises the relevance of addressing GBV and a cohesive strategic framework to guide the national response to this scourge.

My ideology has always been setting up programmes that derive strength for both genders to help combat GBV. I've known good men all my life, be it family, friends and even strangers. It's unfortunate that with the recent events my opinion has had to change. However, I still believe in the good men that still exist, which is why I genuinely feel that GBV is not an issue that needs to be fought by women alone but men should be a part of it too. It's a collective goal that we are all responsible to assign to irregardless of whether you've been a victim or not. A perpetrator or not.

We need your signature on this petition so that we can present our programme to the relevant stakeholders including the government of South Africa as well as the premier of KwaZulu-Natal.

Sending Love and Light to everyone ❤️
