We demand the rejection of Andy Tsang's nomination to United Nations positions 反對聯合國委任曾偉雄

China has nominated former Hong Kong police chief Andy Tsang Wai-hung (曾偉雄) as the director-general of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and the executive director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). These are key, high-ranking positions at the United Nations for combatting narcotics crimes.

WE DEMAND THE REJECTION OF SUCH NOMINATION OF THE UNITED NATIONS ON THE GROUNDS OF TSANG'S CONDUCT AS POLICE CHIEF DURING THE UMBRELLA MOVEMENT IN 2014.

Tsang was responsible for the brutal police crackdown during the moment. There has been plenty of evidence on serious police abuse of power in dealing with protesters, journalists, and even citizens. Evidence of police collusion on thug-initiated attacks during the movement had also come to light.
