VIETNAM: Daughter is banned from school at age 4 because her mother is an outspoken writer.

Dear UNESCO: United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

As we all know, UNESCO’s mission is to contribute to the building of a culture of peace, the eradication of poverty, sustainable development and intercultural dialogue through education, the sciences, culture, communication and information.

international law and the United Nations Constitution requires that all kids be given equal educational opportunity no matter what their race, ethnic background, religion, or sex, or whether they are rich or poor.

In 1959, the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, which defines children’s rights to protection, education, health care, shelter, and good nutrition.

Viet Nam has ratified the United Nations Framework Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1990.

Huynh Thuc Vy, Jane Hoang (Facebook name), Huynh Thuc Vy, a prominent Vietnamese blogger and co-founder of the Vietnamese Women for Human Rights (VNWHR), has been under house arrest since November 2018. Her daughter Le Hoang Tue Nha (4 years old) is banned from school for unknown reason.

Each and every child deserves the opportunity to learn and to educate, therefore, We under sign this petition urging UN to act now to take the necessary steps to help Le Hoang Tue Nha, getting her back to learning.
