The United Nations was created following the Second World War to promote safety and security among nations. A diplomatic body whose aim is to ensure peace between nations. It’s time for the UN to live up to its charter as a body and step into Ukraine

The UN should establish humanitarian zones within Ukraine to enable aid to get into the country and safety for innocent people who cannot flee, to be safe from the Russian aggression. Then once established, from those humanitarian zones evacuation corridors can be developed to help those who want to leave can do so under UN protection

I watched the news helplessly this evening as the parents of an eighteen month old baby was carried in his fathers arms into Mariupol’s hospital. Baby Kirill was his name. He sadly didn’t live and his mother and father were inconsolable. Please UN for sake of all those poor innocent people in Ukraine establish safe safe zones in the name of Baby Kirill and all those who have perished in the past few days. How can Russia as a founding UN country and permanent member of the Security Council refuse? 

Establish SAFE ZONES in Ukraine with UN troops NOW in memory of Kirill.
