Eritrean refugees in Libya are experiencing some of the most challenging and arduous times of their lives. Currently, these irresponsible assaults have been a burden for numerous years. However, we have reached a critical period in which Eritreans are being slaughtered right now.

Although the rest of the world flees freely, innocent Eritrean refugees are kept hostage against their will, trafficked to smugglers like products, and subjected to modern-day slavery. Women being raped by several individuals and suffering significantly as a result, many have died as a direct result of being electrocuted at least three times a week, if not four times a week.

The UNHCR is turning a blind eye to those who are in desperate need of protection; immediate action should be taken to protect these refugees, who are in grave danger. The UNHCR should intervene and take legal action against those who are murdering Innocent Eritreans in Libya as soon as possible.
