PATO DA HYPEMONSTER started this petition to United Nations and

My name is Ochai Peter Aboh , the  17 March 2018, I was off duty so I didn't go to work and I decided to spend the off day at Papalanto area of Ewekoro local government of Ogun state, where the company I work with is located, usually I will go to Lagos and spend the weekend and see if I can get one or two club shows because I am also a rapper and a club Hypeman. But on this faithful weekend I decided to just stay back in the apartment I rented at Papalanto and see if I can update the softwares in my in-house studio and Invited two friends from work who were also off duty to come to my place, let's listen to music, eat and have a few drinks. So Ife and Femi came around and I decided we should take walk to the abattoir so we can get some meat , tomatos ,pepper and other things we needed. So we decided to use a short cut,on our way we met some guys that called me ask if we knew a certain person but they were speaking Yoruba so I ignored because I can't really understand what they were trying to say. On our way back we passed them again but we didn't talk , while walking we  heard voices calling from behind we turned and saw some people coming and running towards us,a boy of about thirteen years was holding a stick, so we stopped. An old man that was with them said we were under arrest,I laughed and I "said baba you are not a police man, what happened?" He replied by saying we were wanted at police station,I asked" for what?" And he said we would know at the station. He now looked at another man and Said "Omo Igbo kidnapper Ni".
Next thing I saw were people coming on motorcycles ,foot and with all sort Weapons and at that moment everything changed. They started beating us and taking us towards the road,  rubbing us of our properties and everything on our bodies. They took our phones, wallets, and cash. Old men ,old women, youths and even passerby, will stop and hit us. They stopped a truck carrying Dangote Cement to help them with some fuel from his tank he refused and told them to go to the fueling station and buy, that was when I turned and saw someone putting tire on my friend's neck. I looked at my friend and said "Ife stand up ,if you stay on that ground, they will kill you" I saw a mobile police man in his well starched uniform passing with his bag, probably closing from work , looking at me with the intention to help but he couldn't,so I walked towards him and held him. I told him that there was a police check point  at the Papalanto round about and if could help me there, I held him and I didn't let him go,the mob was hitting the both of us and blood all over my body. At that moment I couldn't feel any pain, all I want to do is survive. The police man was struggling to escape my grasp but I won't let him go. I saw faces I knew in the neighbourhood but they won't say the knew me, because I was trying to tell the mob that I was leaving around the area and they can follow me to my apartment and confirm, but they didn't.
And finally we arrived at the police check point, the police stopped the mob from beating us and started beating us and telling us to confess,we told them we don't know what they are talking about. That was when the old man stepped forward and the Thirteen years old boy and said we kidnapped the boy the previous day, took him to Sango ota and demanded for a ransom of five thousand naira. It sounded  ridiculous but nobody was ready to listen to us,all they wanted was to lynch us,set us ablaze. They were snapping and making videos of us, posting it online, tagging us as kidnappers. Everything was happening so fast before a  car pulled over and I saw a guy and some police men in uniform, and another car with only the driver in it, they spoke with the police men and we were taken to the Itori police station. The DPO didn't even give us the chance to explain ourselves,on Monday we were transferred to federal SARS magbon in Abeokuta,Ogun state. We where detained for eleven days, never taken to court and our families had  to pay about 300 thousand naira each. The torture we received and the life in Magbon federal SARS station made me wished I died in the hands of the mob. My friends are still struggling to get out of the trauma. Let's fight against Jungle justice, many innocent lives have gone. Save lives today

The people of Nigeria and the government should put an end to jungle justice and reach out to people who are victims of jungle justice or their families  compensate them and rehabilitate them.

Many victims of mob action are traumatized, some end up doing drugs and withdrawing from the society, while some end up committing suicide.

Please tell your story if you've been a victim before.
