We write to bring to your attention about African Migrants who are being sold, tortured and killed in Libya after leaving the various countries due to war, poverty, and unemployment to seek refugee not in Libya but into Europe.
Some of these people have left their Countries of origin to seek a better life in Europe while some are living and working in Libya but with recent video footage being released has revealed that over thousands of immigrants who live or are transiting to Europe are being abused, tortured, sold and killed.
In accordance with the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families, Adopted by General Assembly resolution 45/158 of 18 December 1990
We as young people from Africa and another party of the World have decided to engage with International Organizations and powerful people like you who are in the right seat to quickly intervene into the current situations our sisters, brothers, loved ones, colleagues, relatives, and friends are faced with in Libya.
In this manner, we have gathered as an evidence-based a link to videos, pictorials to current happening in Libya and have signed this online petition as Youth from Africa and another part of the world with the key interest in the welfare and well-being of humanity.
