United Nations Security Council, Stop the Human Rights Violations in North Korea

North Korea remains to be one of the world’s most repressive and authoritarian countries under the control of Kim Jong Un. North Koreans face the fear of enslavement, torture, imprisonment, rape, and prison camps as there is no freedom in the country. Ever since the end of the Korean War to today, North Korea continues to abuse human rights through the use of political prison camps, public executions, and mass-starvation around the country. Although this major civic issue does not affect me or my family, the civilians of North Korea are being tortured in multiple ways. In addition, North Korean Refugees who have successfully escaped face the traumatic memories of living as a North Korean. The impact of this issue is extremely negative and solving the dreadful violation of human rights would allow North Koreans to live as a human being.
