As we are heading to day zero, a South African situation where water will be cut off for around 4 million people, I decided to start this petition to push the United Nations, the African Union and other organizations to find solutions to the water crisis that is facing Capetown in South Africa. It has been 3 years now consecutively, Capetown is facing a water shortage. As we know how important water is to our life since it brings a balance in our environment. If solutions won't be taken into account, the 4 million citizens of Capetown, will suffer a lot of problems including breakout of diseases due to dirty of environment and people themselves, agriculture and wine industry will decline leading to lowering of standard of living of people living in Capetown, it will also affect touristic activities which currently count to 2 million visitors per year which will also affect the national income.
The current situation in Capetown, South Africa can be observed by clicking the links below and solutions like Harvesting of fog, building of desalination plants and many others as will be advised by environmentalists should be taken into action rather than being ideas.
It isn't a must for you to be a South African to understand the suffer that they are going through currently, so kindly sign this petition and create the awareness of it in Social media and the Internet at large.
