We are young people coming from all over the world. Now we have met here in Glasgow at COP26 to advocate for bold climate action. It's our future that rests in the hands of world leaders. 

The truth is, we are living in a crisis. There is no doubt that the climate emergency will ruin the future for all of us if we don't act right NOW. 

Young people are both victims and part of the solution and that's why the world leaders have to fully involve us in the decision-making process. That's why we demand the Parties to recognise young people in the final decision of COP26. It seems obvious? Well, it has never been done before.

We want a clear and strong paragraph addressing youth participation in the final decision of this COP. Youth have proven to be key actors of change and we want to be finally officially recognised in that way. 

This paragraph would be the first official recognition of the role of youth as key actors in the UNFCCC and other climate related decision-making processes. 

We want the COP leaders to stress the importance of meaningful and inclusive youth participation of all young people in the climate processes, and make all parties commit to support and empower youth to engage in these.
