Why this petition matters

How many times have you had a situation where copyright has caused something to be blocked or otherwise unavailable specifically to your country?
As an Australian, I've encountered many situations where YouTube videos are blocked in my country. I only just recently got reminded of this concept of copyright being different across nations when I found that a TikTok clip I hearted was eventually muted for me because the owner of the background music chose to block the music in Australia. I can't even find out what the song was, it won't even show me that, so I can't complain directly to the owner of the copyright.
Many Japanese artists also do not make their music available outside of Japan - an example of this is the in-house artists at Konami when producing the Dance Dance Revolution arcade games.
I think it's time we made every country's copyright laws exactly the same, so that all material can be shared across the world without tech-savvy Karens calling the entertainment industry "racist" for blocking a piece of content in bias towards their specific country, when it's not actually a matter of "we don't want you enjoying our material because you're from X country" but more of "we aren't actually allowed by your country's government to let you enjoy our material".
Since US copyright is the most understood version of copyright law due to the size of the nation and how commonly its culture and law bleeds into other first-world nations, I propose that the universal, global form of copyright is based on US copyright, with no additional clauses or amendments based on other copyright policies.
Please sign this petition so that we may bring it to the attention of the one organization in the world that consists of many representatives from every important nation that has copyright policies, so that they can each bring this cause to the attention of their individual governments. That way, we can all enjoy the same content equally, and no one has to miss out.
