Nodeep Kaur is a respected Human Rights activist who supported Farmers Protest in India against Government's three farm bills (They believe these bills will destroy them and profit big private companies and corporates favored by government).

She was detained illegally without warrant and there was no news about her for 2 weeks until news of her being detained unwarranted and sexually abused by Indian police leaked out.

Not only her but independent journalists (who aren't from government backed news channels) were forcibly detained and many other protestors were beaten mercilessly while doing peaceful protests.

These tyrannical oppression by government is not acceptable in any form and should be condemned by everyone. We need your support to raise our voice.

Popstar Rihanna and others including Environmentalist Greta Thunberg, Meena Harris (niece of VPOTUS Kamala Harris) are being termed as sponsors of terrorism in India by ruling BJP government for just standing with peaceful protests and  why people in United States are not speaking about these tyrannical oppression.

News article :

Amidst Indian authorities’ ongoing tyrannical crackdown on the #FarmersProtest movement in Delhi, news has emerged of a 24-year-old Sikh woman being “tortured and abused” since January 12th whilst imprisoned by Haryana Police.

The news broke today (January 30th) while Navdeep Kaur is currently in judicial custody in Karnal Jail, awaiting trial based on accusations from her Industrial factory employers. A respected activist, Nodeep Kaur is part of a labourers group she is currently representing in disputes against their employers over withheld wages, harassment and more abuses. Nodeep is part of the Dalit community, who are perceived to be “low-caste” according to Indian caste hierarchy. The Sikh faith categorically opposes caste hierarchy.
