SIGN FOR ADJUSTING HUMAN RIGHTS DECLARATION AND HAVE SISTERHOOD INCLUDED.

It comes without saying that we connect completely with the first amendment that reads… 

"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood."

However we feel that there is something quite missing, and precisely it is about wording.  Although the original French reads… "un esprit de fraternité", English translation provides a poor equivalent of ´brotherhood´.

WHAT ABOUT SISTERHOOD?

You could say, brother or sisterhood it doesn’t matter, but if no one would have questioned wording before, where would we be today? Is it not the time to after 72 years of hopeful misinterpretation make some changes?

We want to collect signatures in order to finally add a female equivalent to brotherhood in the first article of United Nations Human Rights declaration.
