Who will compensate for the loss?

The BJD ruled govt. has approved Rs 102 crore project to set up a beer factory in Jhinkargadi forest of Dhenkanal. P & A Bottlers, a Kolkata based beer company got 12 acres land in lease out of which five acres comprised of sal trees. People considered this place as their sacred grove. They protected this forest and never allowed anyone to intrude into their preserved, pristine treasure. While protesting not to cut down the sal trees, they were thrashed and evacuated from that place. 958 big trees were cut down within an hour from Jhinkargadi forest of Dhenkanal, Odisha.
We are raising some fundamental questions:
1. Are sal tree less important than beer factory?
2. Without prior information to the Green tribunal, how come the district administration ordered to cut down the valuable sal trees?
3. Is evacuating and threatening the natives from their sacred land justified?
We request each of you to sign this petition and to support the survival of the community and demand a proper investigation into the matter.
