Encouraging the UN to take more action against fake news

With more and more cases of fake news being spread out across the world, we feel the UN should take more action against the spread of lies and manipulation, in the form of a news article.

Therefore, we would advise the UN to change one of their articles in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Article 19 reads:

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers

We would like to see it changed to:

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart correct information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

As a result, the UN should encourage all countries to have a state owned, non-corruption news source which all citizens can refer to if they are ever in doubt or feel misinformed. To ensure that all news published by this source is in fact factual itself, it should be monitored by the United Nations.

This is essential, so that in the future all humans will be able to think critically based on facts, and make political and personal decisions based on what is truthful.
