Don't just condemn the violence, END the violence. #standwithsyria

Yesterday I read a tweet written by a 7 year old girl in eastern Aleppo, Syria. She wrote it was her "last chance to live or die." 7 years old, facing her own mortality. My own daughter is 9; she plays with toys, goes to school.. Her idea of a bad day is having 2 pages of Math in her homework. So as I read the girls' words over and over, I am unable to comprehend the thoughts and fears of this young girl, her mother and so many others. I feel this type of guilt that is indescribable. After all, these are human beings just like you and I, so why are we turning our backs to them at a global level??

I urge the UN and world leaders to do more to intervene in these horrific atrocities. I Know I speak for many in saying I feel powerless to help. I ask the ones who are our voice to speak for us in saying that the violence MUST end by whatever means necessary. Please allow food, aid and evacuation of civilians. As the holidays approach I ask you to remember good will toward man and peace on Earth.  Show us that humanity is not gone from this world. Please.
