Intravenous Immunoglobulin Urgently required in Romania

Romania is undergoing a serious shortage/lack of supply of IVIG, which is a plasma product, used as a first line of defence in treating autoimmune diseases.
This excerpt, taken from a friend who has CIDP and requires ongoing infusions of IVIG to help her have some quality of life:
“So...keeping you posted with what we are going through here in Romania. More than 1000 patients on ivig left without medication. Children and adults. Primary immunodeficiencies, autoimmune diseases, neurological progressive diseases...we are sent to slow death. The Ministry of Health solved the crisis a few weeks ago: they bought 6000vials of Pentaglobin...yeah. Pentaglobin is an immunoglobulin, but not the one we need. Pentaglobin is only used in severe sepsis with antibiotics. We had to get out on the streets and to ask to meet them and tell them again and again that we cannot use Pentaglobin. And today they said that they bought 900 vials of Intratect. We don’t know how many grams are in a vial, but we suspect it’s the 2.5 grams. 900 vials for about 1000 patients. Who lives and who dies? Who do you save? 900 vials until January, when they will get 3000 more. We need any help in the world.”
We need as many signatures as we can get to help Romanian men, women and children access to this treatment.
