Muslim concentration camps have been around and nothing is being done to prevent this. It is made to be seen as normal. Alarming podcast are on spotify as well as reports and video evidence of torture online. The Chinese government argue that they are doing this to prevent extremism in a vast region Xinjiang. The news around the world is only focused on the economy and trade and seems like other countries are just turning a blind eye on what is not just wrong but inhumane. Perhaps countries are hesitant to say things and attempt to improve the situation because of their diplomatic or trade relations with China. I think that deals shouldn't even be made with China until this issue is resolved, otherwise it seems like we are supporting this. Nowadays people are just focused on social media and their own life, which is fair to some extent. However, imagine if you were in a concentration camp and no one cares, you wouldn't you think the world is against you? The least we could do is bring our attention to what is wrong in the world and demand change whether it is racism, islamophobia, sexism the list goes on you get my point. The world would be such a better place if people just allowed people to believe in what they want and not judge them or isolate them based on who they are or what colour their skin is. Let people believe in pink trees if they want who cares, as long as they don't force it on you or harm you. There are 2 things that everyone has in common no matter where they come from, we are human and we share this planet. Other than that we may be different by culture and language. If people can realise that we are all the same wars would stop and we all would just have good intentions for the benefit of each other. Please sign this petition if you agree.
