When the Minecraft game was first released in November 2011, a Mojang account had to be created in order to purchase and play Minecraft. Now, after more than a decade, the IT giant Microsoft is abusing its monopoly position and forcing all gamers to migrate their perfectly working Mojang account to a Microsoft account. This gives Microsoft the ability to legally steal user data. Those who want to protect their privacy and refuse to migrate Microsoft accounts have been threatened with losing access to Minecraft. Microsoft thinks they have the right to take our rightful property. It is the job of all institutions to protect consumers from the tyranny of big corporations like Microsoft. We demand that players who legally purchased Minecraft should not be deprived of their ownership and continue to have access to the game.
