Don’t Strand Chinese Student in the United States, United Airlines!

We would like to petition that Peter Xia – (Kaidi Xia) - from China not be stranded in the United States by United Airlines! Peter recently bought a plane ticket using his American name instead of his Chinese name. Because his passport has his Chinese name, Kaidi, he was not allowed to fly out of the airport.

After six hours at the airport United would not correct it without him spending another $1,000.00 dollars. ANA (another airline) would change it but for the leg from Greenville, SC to Houston United would not budge.

I'm very sad for Peter - it's been years since he has been home to China and now he may be stuck in the dorm of his university in Greenville, SC all summer. Here is a clear opportunity for a business to recognize an honest mistake and reach out in good faith to help a helpless person. I am so sad for Peter - this is just wrong of United to not have a modicum of compassion here

We would like to ask United to reschedule Peter (Kaidi)’s trip without charge or refund his money. One simple error in paperwork should not cost a helpless college student $1000! That is ridiculous!
