Provide Cost-Friendly Bereavement Tickets

My grandmother passed away on October 3rd, 2013 in Memphis, Tennessee after losing her battle with cancer. Unfortunately, United Airlines only provides a 5% bereavement discount and I am not able to attend my grandmother's funeral. It seems airline corporations no longer take into consideration the everyday person as 5% off of an $1100 plane ticket is far from reachable.

If airlines have the capability to allow for blocks of seating for the discount travel websites a few cheaps for people to get home at a moment's notice is a drop in the bucket. I am starting this petition towards United Airlines first because it is a major airline that can show other airlines it cares about the working class citizen. I hope you will join me in my cause for change so that in the future other consumers do not have to go through the suffering and heartache because they can't afford to say goodbye to a loved one.

Please United Airlines, make a change of compassion. I just wanted to go home to say goodbye.
