Today I would like to start this petition to help change the law within the working man/women’s life. I’m a HGV driver who is working full time in a salary based job. As you know this job is unpredictable and our working hours can vary from 9-15 hrs daily. I think it’s a basic human right that the hours you work you should be paid for. For example I work for £130 a day, some days my company plans me too much and I end up working 15hrs with the combined hold ups on the road and customers. My hourly rate drops to £8.66pphr I think this is unexceptionable. I did sign up to occasionally work over my hours which we all know if you don’t sign you won’t get the job, this is a form of bullying people from your employers and the government law. I would like to just get paid what I work no more no less. Please help me in getting this the attention it needs. If you are in the same position help me build this petition and hopefully get some change.
