We as the current temporarily registered students of UniSA both ( returning and first year), funded by the NsFas would like to request an extension of the current registration date which is the 15 March 2021. This request comes after failure of communication from both the University and NsFas to panicking students who up until this date their registration status has not changed.

There is a number of NsFas funded students who were able to register with UniSA for the 2021 Academic, but there remains a record number of students sitting in fear, panic, depression and anxiety due to the unknown fate of  wether funding will be made available before registration of UniSA closes.

The request for extention is not only to ease the emotional distress of students, but it will help to ease the pressure that both institutions are under. Already the issue of undertaking 20000 first year students who were rejected will bring more pressure to the extention of the current registration date.

Many students are not only in fear of not being able to study this year but also frustrated by the way NsFas and UniSA Executive have conducted themselves with failure to communicate with us an ease the tensions and fears that are uprising from this matter of registration.

We again plea with both Institutions to please acknowledge this petition and communicate soon with the students concerned with this matter, before it all goes out of hand. Yours thankfully Temporarily Registered UniSA students funded by Nsfas
