The world today has become modern with advances in information and communication technology (ICT). The covid-19 pandemic has changed the style and norms of society’s life in the use of ICT. Drastic changes have taken place in the Malaysian education system has caused parents to also need to get involved to ensure that their children to receive virtual education from their teachers.

Virtual education has now been carried out widely across all levels of education. Children are becoming more adept at using gadgets to access everything on the internet. Parents need to monitor and involve in all educational activities of their children.

The involvement that parents can do in monitoring their child's learning activities at home:-

• provide a comfortable place to study 
• make sure the internet network is good
• ensure children's learning tools are adequate

The advantages that children gain with the involvement of their parents in monitoring their learning activities:-

• children will be more motivated to succeed 
• parents understand the curriculum and activities that children learn
• children will remain focused on learning as they are observed by parents
