In Malaysia, the rate of poverty was increasing day by day and this problem needs to be addressed immediately by all parties. As we all know, poverty is when people live without the basic things they really need like food, water, shelter or money to buy clothes, education and health care. This problem of poverty not only affects individuals but also our country.

   There are many ways to overcome the problem of poverty. Firstly, the individual needs to change himself. I agree the quotes from Santosh Joshi’s which is to change the world around us, we need to change ourselves first. The quote means, if the individual wants to be a better person, he needs to change himself first. An effective way to overcome poverty is to get an education. Education is very important for all of us until now. Education is important for everyone to improve their knowledge, way of life and social. Education can also transforms us completely from within and without by changing our minds and personalities as well as increasing our confidence levels. In this situation, if the individual has a good education they can overcome this problem. This is because education can make a person to get a job that can guarantee a better future and also their lifestyle.

   In addition, the community also can work together to help those facing the problem of poverty. A community is a group of people who live in the same place as our neighbors. The community can help in terms of giving some donations such as delivering food or money to support their lives. Next the community also can make a food bank. Food bank is a place where stocks of foods like basic provisions are supplied free of charge to people in need. 

   Last but not least is the responsibility of the government to solve this problem. The government must create many job opportunities for Malaysians. The government needs to limit the number of foreign workers and in this way can reduce the number of unemployed rate in Malaysia. It can help ​Malaysians improve their own lives and can also increase the country's economic development towards a more developed in the future.

   As we know, In Malaysia we have many races such as Malays, Chinese and Indians but this is not a problem for us to help each other. Even though we have different races, we will still be united and responsible for the problem of poverty that occurs in our country. Nobody wants poverty so let's help them !
