Full pension on full salary for pensioners under EPF Pension 1995 scheme.

Though Supreme Court had passed a verdict ordering full pension on full salary (without restricting the basis of pension to a particular ceiling) to pensioners under EPF Pension scheme-1995 in 2016, a majority  of PF pensioners are still continuing to get only a paltry amount as pension (in the region of Rs.1000/-), since the scheme has not been revised basing on Supreme Court verdict. Further, there are a few genuine issues to be resolved in this connection like the unilateral decision by EPFO to keep pensioners and employees of organisations managing private PF Trusts outside the ambit of the Apex Court's decision. PF pensioners need to be treated on the same footing as other categories of pensioners like central government / state government / bank pensioners, since they too have matching educational qualifications, matching experience and have handled matching responsibilities while in service. The EPF pensioners (running to a few crores in number along with their family members) are a strongly aggrieved lot on account of the government not considering their cause and it is understood from the various social media groups of these sections that are uniting to vote for NOTA in the coming parliamentary elections as a mark of protest. This has to be avoided at all cost. This segment of voters should be positively brought to BJP's fold by immediately resolving all their issues and declaring full pension on full salary basis to them much before the ensuing elections.
