  • A mentor is a person who guides their students to a better future. Mentorship programmes should start when the students are in school itself. People need to understand that being an engineer or a doctor are not the only career options for the students.
  • The government should make it mandatory for mentorship programmes in schools. Thereby helping students navigate through different stages of their lives, whether be it family, career, or health. Teenagers today don't seem to share their views with their parents; hence such initiatives will not only help students choose their career options wisely but also have a positive influence on their lives.
  • These programmes will rekindle the hope that lies embedded in them, thereby opening their minds to fulfil their latent desires that can manifest into pursuing contemporary professions ranging from being a sous chef to interior designing.
  • A good mentorship session will build a one-on-one relationship with students as well as parents which would lead to a productive conversation and better understanding between both parents and their teenage children.
