Philippe Barthelus is a 35 Year old Haitian American who was born in Haiti migrated to the United State at the age of 10. He was raised and Educated in Elizabeth New Jersey, and lived a life of a law abiding citizen, that is until he was arrested, Tried and convicted for a crime that He did not commit. The criminal Justice system, specifically Union County Prosecutor office knows Philippe did not commit this crime because Wedpens Dorsainvil has assumed responsibility for his role in the shooting death of Jamilla Payne's and the shooting of Khalid Walker and informed the court that He committed this crime with a man name John Zepherin. For the past fourteen (14) year's, Philippe has been fighting to prove his innocence to a criminal Justice system that refuses to admit they got it WRONG.
Philippe fight for justice is the people's fight for Justice. This injustice against Philippe highlight everything that is wrong with the criminal Justice system as well as the immigration system in America. It criminalizes Black Bodies and Alienate people that migrate to this county in pursuit of the American dream.
