Destination New South Wales, in partnership with Country and Outback, are engaged in tourism development and promotion for the benefit of regional communities.  Their structure largely focuses on engagement with, and financial support from local councils.

In the Unincorporated Area there is no local government, so  communities in our region have historically been unable to access co-funded programs.

Over the years approaches have been made at a senior level to try to find a solution to the issue, all to no effect. 

Recently we put forward an applicant to the board of  Destination Country and Outback who has knowledge of our area, and the capacity to try to change the great inequity that exists.  Unfortunately the applicant was not successful in gaining a seat at the board and we continue to be unrepresented.

We respectfully ask that you sign this petition in an attempt to overturn the decision made by Destination Country and Outback not to appoint our applicant to the board.
