James Banda started this petition to UNILUS and

As in regard to the continuous rise in COVID-19 cases in Zambia, as students of UNILUS, we feel that the university should consider making exams online. We feel this way because we feel the 3rd wave of these Corona Virus cases have mostly been found at universities and so not putting in place precautions puts both the staff and students at great risk. Following the third wave of COVId-19, Govt has again instructed the public sector to go back to rotational work arrangements. A signal that we should all rethink public gatherings. Yet University of Lusaka wants to go ahead and conduct physical exams. This risks the spread of COVID-19. Anybody would expect an institution of higher learning like Unilus to understand the implications of gathering students from all corners of the country at this time. We are therefore apealing that the university considers applying the same precautions other universities such as ZCAS have put in place, such as online exams. It has been rumoured that there have been cases across the UNILUS campuses and so as students we don't feel safe being on campus.
