Make Unicode accept pride flag proposals

Make Unicode accept pride flag proposals
Why this petition matters
We have a pride flag emoji, even though it took more than 10 years to get. We even have a trans pride flag emoji as well, which was added almost 5 years after the pride (rainbow) flag.
Following this, the Unicode Consortium rejected proposals for the bisexual pride flag and the asexual pride flag without supplying any reason. They have now updated the emoji proposal system and it currently does not accept ANY proposals for flags, citing the reason that “Flags for countries with Unicode region codes are automatically added, with no proposals necessary.” and while it’s true that proposals are not necessary for this flags, these flags exclude any flags that are not region based (ie: any pride flag). Many members of the LGBT community already deal with a lack of representation; The fact that Unicode has changed the proposal rules in this way prevents any members/supporters of the LGBT community from attempting to simply make the world a more accepting place.
In the Emoji submission guidelines, published by Unicode, inc. it defines four types of flag emoji. F1 (country flags ie: Canadian flag), F2 (country subdivision flags ie: Scottish flag), F3 (other regional or geopolitical based flags ie: the flag of South Vietnam), and F4 (any flag that doesn’t fit the definitions of F1-3 ie: pride flag, pirate flag)
This petition is to rectify this, allowing proposals for flags not based on region. It is also a call to companies that contribute to the Unicode Standard (Apple, Google, Meta, IBM, etc…) to aid in this pressure, adding these emojis before they are added to the Unicode Standard to encourage other companies to do the same.
