It feels like there is an emoji for everything these days. There’s a ball of yarn, a sponge, a sea otter (ok, we kinda love that one), and even a plate of falafel balls. But there is one emoji that has not made it onto the emoji keyboard yet: THE CAULIFLOWER.

A food that has proven itself to be one of the most versatile vegetables known to mankind has yet to see its day in the emoji spotlight. The cauliflower has transformed into pizza crust. It’s disguised itself as pasta that cooks, looks, and tastes like fresh pasta. It’s been used as a crispy chicken tender coating. And the list goes on. Despite all of it’s magiCAUL transformations, however, the cauliflower has yet to be turned into an emoji...and we think it’s time for this cruciferous vegetable to have its moment of emoji fame.

We’ve submitted numerous applications for a cauliflower emoji to the Unicode Consortium - aka, the approvers and creators of all emojis - and they have yet to be approved, but we’re not giving up. The world needs - no, deserves - a cauliflower emoji and YOU CAN HELP! Sign our petition before World Emoji Day, July 17th, to make your emoji keyboard a more CAULIPOWERful place...once and for all.
