- (This is for SUTTER MILL HOA only, not LARMAC) Part of what makes living in Ladera Ranch so wonderful is the sense of community. That sense of warmth and belonging is most notable during the holiday season!
However, over the course of the last year, residents of Sutter’s Mill HOA have felt more like outcasts. When the rest of Ladera Ranch is asked to participate in contests and holiday decorating, those residing in Sutter’s Mill are getting hit with violations. In years past, we have been able to decorate beyond our patios, including the “common area” bushes and dirt. Then suddenly something changed, without warning and without any logical explanation. After Halloween of last year, residents have been given countless violations after each and every holiday. We want to hang spiderwebs from the bushes, put flags in the dirt during the 4th of July, and string lights on the trees during Christmas. It harms no one and brings much joy to passerby‘s and the children of the neighborhood. Ultimately, we want the scuffles with our HOA to end. How do we find a common ground?
