International Council Supporting Fair Trail and Human Rights, as a human rights organization, and having examined the humanitarian and health situation in Syria, requests that you use all of your powers and make every effort to revoke the unilateral economic measures imposed on the Syrian Arab Republic by the United States of America and the European Union.

Now in the time of International pandemic of COVID-19, and following ten years of resources bleeding, such economic sanctions make the pains even worse. It is a humanitarian crime just to keep silence about such sanctions.

International Council Supporting Fair Trail and Human Rights believes that you can play an effective role in persuading these countries to reconsider their claims regarding unilateral sanctions that violate the United Nations Charter, especially sanctions related to the health care sector, which is the primary and most important sector to confront that pandemic.

The numbers of cases are increasing dangerously and there are large numbers that have not been calculated in the statistics because there is no possibility to conduct examinations in large numbers and misdiagnosis may cause large deaths. In the coming days, everyone is expected to be infected and the daily death toll rises to twenty times, and this will cause the largest humanitarian catastrophe in the world, and record numbers the world has never seen before. Therefore, we hope that you will join us in inviting the World Health Organization and the countries of the world to intervene immediately in providing health and remember humanity not politics.
