We the students of Oxbridge Academy are banding together to express our Outrage on the proposed situation regarding Dr. Bird and the writing center. Under NO circumstance do we feel that this is justifiable or deserved. Dr. Bird has a Bachelor's degree in English education, a Master's degree in English education, a Doctorate in educational administration and curriculum, and a health coach certification from Duke University Integrative Medicine, specializing in using writing to help heal body and mind. She has published four books with a fifth due this year. She has been at Oxbridge since 2016. In addition, The writing center is a signature program that is vital to the English department. This program sets Oxbridge apart from its competitors by offering peer review services, and free assistance to any student in need. By signing below, you are stating agreement to keeping the writing center alive and allowing Dr. Bird to keep her current position. Let's keep Dr. Bird flying at Oxbridge!
