Unacceptable Delays at German Embassy Islamabad – Give Families Their Right to Reunite!

Unacceptable Delays at German Embassy Islamabad – Give Families Their Right to Reunite!
The Issue
For more than two years just for an appointment , hundreds of families in Pakistan have been waiting endlessly for family reunion visa appointments at the German Embassy in Islamabad.
We registered with hope hoping to reunite with our loved ones, our spouses, and our children in Germany but instead, we have faced nothing but silence, pain, and broken hearts.
Every passing day means another birthday missed, another Ramadan or Eid spent apart, another child growing up without a parent’s presence.
Many applicants have lost their loved ones during this wait parents passed away, relationships suffered, and emotional health has been destroyed by the constant uncertainty and lack of response.
We followed every rule, submitted every document, and waited patiently. But a wait of 24 months or more for just an appointment is not fair it is inhumane.
Family reunion is not a luxury it is a basic human right, protected under both German and international law.
We are not asking for special treatment only for justice, transparency, and compassion.
We urge the German Embassy in Islamabad and the German Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt) to take immediate action:
Increase family reunion visa appointments
Clear the massive backlog
Provide clear and transparent timelines
Every day of delay is a day of suffering for families who only want to live together again.
Please sign this petition and help us raise our voices for all the husbands, wives, and children who are being forced to live apart not because of rules, but because of silence and system failure.
