We the undersigned residents of the City of Madison petition the Madison City Council to:

• Adopt a resolution in support of the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), to
•  Affirm the principles of fundamental human rights and equality for women in our community, and
• Eliminate barriers to political, social, economic and cultural discrimination, including issues of domestic violence, trafficking, affordable health care and child care, economic security, pay
  inequities, paid family leave, and educational and vocational opportunities.
