Bashar Al-Assad has been committing crimes against humanity and the Syrian people for 15 months. Yet, the Russian government continues to support Al-Assad’s atrocities, both through their vetoes in the United Nations Security Council and the constant and documented flow of arms from Russia to help Al-Assad kill innocent civilians. Russia’s role in this atrocity has yet to end, however. Recent United States intelligence indicates that the Russian government has prepared a shipment of military helicopters to send to Syria (See: http://www.cnn.com/2012/06/12/world/russia-helicopters/index.html.) These military helicopters will only serve to dramatically escalate the attacks on innocent civilians by regime forces.
The United Nations Security Council has failed in its duty to give security to the people of the world as Russia advocates for mass slaughter. It is completely unacceptable that the Russian government is able to act with impunity and immunity at the UN Security Council as it provides more arms for the massacres, genocide, and crimes against humanity being committed by the Assad regime.
The United Nations Security Council is supposed to be a staunch advocate for bringing peace to all people of the world. However, Russia has been allowed to reign over its proceedings, acting in complete impunity and immunity as it provides more arms for the massacres and crimes against humanity being committed by the Al-Assad regime. This is completely unacceptable to any citizen of humanity with a conscience.
We demand that given the Security Council’s inaction, the United Nations Human Rights Council should urgently convene a meeting to reconsider the membership of countries such as Russia, China and Syria, which are plummeting the very essence of human rights into the Dark Ages. It is horrifying to us, citizens of the human race, that human rights are being represented by countries that blatantly disregard them. We appeal for your urgent attention in summoning an emergency meeting of countries who will stand for the human race and change the course of history in a positive manner, saving thousands of lives in the process.

Sincerely,
