In order to combat gender inequality, violence and homophobia on the University of Mpumalanga campus we require a ‘gender equity office’.  Here, leaders and officials will be able to deal with instances of abuse and homophobia on campus.  Our offices will focus on providing a safe place for reporting incidents of violence and hate.  We are also focused on making sure all members of the LGBTQIA+ community are safe. Any act of homophobia or hate speech will be directly dealt with by the gender equity office. We also plan to include non-binary toilets around campus to accommodate all students .
