UMich Community Supports Allen Creek Greenway / "The Treeline"

By failing to compromise with the city of Ann Arbor during the planning process for the proposed Allen Creek Urban Trail, the University of Michigan is doing a disservice to its students, faculty, staff, and the community at large. Helping Ann Arbor become an increasingly vibrant, active, and sustainable city is paramount to the University's ability to attract students, faculty, and staff to attend classes, work, and live in the this community.
As reported by MLive on June 13, City of Ann Arbor Planning Commissioner Julie Weatherbee suggested if there's a large showing of support from students, it could change UM's mind. We hope that you will sign this petition as a member of the University community (student, faculty, staff, or alumni) to show the University that it should make every effort to collaborate in the development of The Treeline / Allen Creek Urban Trail.
The Central Student Government's UPetition platform is currently down for maintenance, but we hope to continue collecting signatures on that University-specific platform when it becomes available once again. Please feel free to join Campus Bike Club here and/or follow us on Facebook to stay posted with new updates. Thank you for your support.
