We shall try our best to make this short and sweet..

Local artists are artists too and would like to be treated that way. We do not appreciate how the institution refuses to pay local entertainment and yet they pay your so called "big "artists.
We as UKZN local artists would like to demand that the institution practices a 55:45 policy where they basically book 45% local artists( and pay them like they do the other big artists) , this should apply for every single occasion/event held by a ukzn club/society/faculty/department..
We would like for DOSH to start putting aside a budget for entertainment as they are well aware that all events need entertainment.

We will be generating a petition which will hopefully show you just how many artists and art consumers are bothered by these conditions that local artists are facing.
