Following the illegal invasion of Ukraine and genocide against the Ukrainian people by the Russian military on the direct orders of President Vladimir Putin, countries in both the West and around the world are urged to pause all trade with China and any country that supports Vladimir Putin's government.

This pause in all trade should continue until Vladimir Putin is removed from office and, together with those members of his government who are suspected of war crimes, are brought before a war crimes tribunal at the International Criminal Court at the Hague.

China has refused to join global sanctions and maintained it would continue to trade with Russia.

Wang Wenbin, a spokesman for China's foreign ministry said: "We firmly oppose any illegal unilateral sanctions. In the spirit of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefits, China and Russia will continue to conduct normal trade and co-operation.
