At the University of Kentucky, there have been numerous accounts of sexual harassment, sexual abuse, rape, and domestic violence incidents. Majority of these incidents occur on campus property with the victim knowing or not knowing the perpetrator. Although the university provides resources, many students are unaware of these resources, how to use them, or if they truly work. Unfortunately, for each individual that experiences this will never live life the same. It causes a shift in how you act, trust, being overwhelming aware of your surroundings, and possibly therapy. That is the reality of a survivor yet what happens to the perpetrator? They continue to live their life with hardly any reprecussions. This petition is to help that change at the University of Kentucky and for survivors to feel heard!
