Workplaces to have a policy for people receiving IVF
Workplaces to have a policy for people receiving IVF

I would like a policy to be implemented in all work places to ensure that individuals undergoing in vitro fertilisation have allocated time to attend appointments and procedures, just as those with confirmed pregnancies have the right to attend such commitments. The policy should ensure that individuals undergoing IVF have the right to devote themselves to all obligations relating to their treatment, comparative to those with confirmed pregnancies. Currently, time allocation for all appointments relating to IVF treatment are at complete discretion of the individuals employer, leading to unnecessary added stress as well as increased sick leave in the work place. I thoroughly believe that all individuals undergoing IVF treatment deserve the same rights in the workplace as those who are pregnant and would like to see a law passed in recognition of this.
