Allow UK students to express themselves more
In UK schools, rules are very strict and there aren't many ways for children to express themselves. They claim that we should express ourselves yet only give us 3 ways maximum to do so, one of them being after school clubs which is restricted for some as there may be other things that they have to do outside of school. There are some people that my friends and I know personally have been denied education (suspended/sent home) because they have dyed their hair, whether that be with hair chalk, hair dye (even if it was only for the weekend that they couldn't get out completely in time), or bleach, which is totally unfair on our generation. We should be able to get the same education as everybody else in the world, whether that be different races, different genders, different sexualities, different ways of expression, and just difference overall. Not only would this help children show how they would be at home instead of suppressing their true identity, this would also potentially have a positive effect on children (mostly in secondary schools) and their mental health, the reason being my previous point. I am not saying that schools should abolish uniform policies and standards completely, I am simply saying that some of the rules are unreasonable. A final example of this is that my friend was outed for being LGBTQIA+ to her parents today, with her friend being put in detention on the same day for a mere nose piercing.
