Nicola MacPherson started this petition to UK Radio stations

I'm starting this petition because I want the uk to stop disregarding bts just because they are k-pop and take them as serious artists(other k-pop artists too)

Bts have been together over 6 years now. They are not some stupid manufacturered boy band. They have 7 talented members. Leader Kim Namjun is fluent in English(among others)and a certified genius while Min Yunki is a member of Korea Music Copyright Association. An association which only has 20 odd members of extremely talented individuals who have had substantial musical creation. They literally came from nothing and signed to a small label, some of them practically penniless.

Bts get virtually no radio play or radio promotion in the uk despite being the biggest artists on the planet right now. They are breaking records and winning awards all the time aswell as selling out world stadium tours, unicef ambassadors and even done a UN speech. BBC radio one done a couple of pieces on them but fail to play them on the station. Figure that one out? I emailed a complaint to them to question why and I got no reply. I've also tweeted radio stations with no reply.

They are 7 extremely hard working, talented yet humble men who have achieved so much yet the UK fails to acknowledge them as serious artists here. For me personally I know the reason why and I want this to change. They have helped me and millions of others so much in life and they deserve so much more than they get from us.

And for the record I'm not a teenager, I'm a 30 year old mother of two. My mum(57) and oldest daughter(7) are army too. Their music transcends to so many different people.

Please sign this petition if you or someone you know loves bts and help me get them what they truly deserve.
