Why this petition matters

Started by Connor Phillips

Well i sat my GCSEs in 2019 and i studied each subject hours on end every night without fail and i wasnt in many of my lessons due to mental health problems which affected me during the time period of exams which inflicted my studying at home and only got 1 subject with a 4/C above and i dont think its fair on all the people who have struggled in the past trying their absolutely hardest to make themselves proud, their parents proud and their friends proud and it especially isn’t fair on the people that went through thick and thin to then fail majority of their GCSEs they put hours of work into and committed to it to then turn around and fail more than succeeded in and it feels very unfair as the year 11 students have come out of it clean because of the virus i know is of a serious issue right now but it doesn't stop the pupils doing their exams in a couple months time and its not like the students care about school and the government have been unfair on this decision as college students, sixth form students and university graduates still have to study at home its as if the UK government have given all Year 11 students on schools a free pass for the year to be able to pass anything and not having to put any work into it when people in the past years have put their own hard work and worked stupid hours at 2-3 in the morning because they want to do their all for passing as many subjects as possible the only reason I'm pointing this issue out is because others actually care about their GCSEs as people who failed the majority of their subjects will be stressed out or angry due to this as the Year 11 pupils have been given 9 GCSEs on 4/C above when some of us put in a lot of work in the last couple of years to be returned as nothing.
