Mary Cooper started this petition to UK Parliament

In 2016 the United Kingdom took part in a referendum to leave the European Union. 3years later we are still fighting to leave because parliament have seized control of the existing government plans to take us out of the European Union, as MPs think they know better. All political parties have now voted against a general election and the country is fighting for its life and its integrity making Great Britain a laughing stock to the rest of the world. The people of Great Britain now demand the right to vote for a government who is willing and able to take on the task of running the country and restoring it to its former glory, the people have had enough and want to choose who they want to represent them as their governing body to deal with the mess that’s been created by existing MPs and their political parties therefore the people of the United Kingdom  demand to be heard through the process of a general election. MPs must listen to their constituents and act accordingly. This is the only way to sort out this mess and restore faith in the political system
